Meet the Team
Thomas M. Baird, Sr., CLU, ChFC
Thomas M. Baird, Sr., is the principal owner of Planning Services. He studied at The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in Business Administration. Mr. Baird served for three years in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.
In 1975, he entered the world of insurance and founded Planning Services in 1983. His mission was—and still is—to provide reliable employee benefits plans for affordable rates. He has studied various employee programs for years to determine how to best structure them and help companies realize huge savings.

Thomas M. Baird, Jr. attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. He has been a licensed insurance broker for Planning Services since 1994. He is is known by his clients for his customer-oriented approach because he provides sound guidance and is so dedicated to negotiating the best rate for the maximum benefits.
Tom has received multiple industry recognitions, such as United Health Care Gold Broker Status, Guardian Bronze Level Producer and many others.
Kay Baird

Kelly Baird
Kelly Baird attended Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas where she received a Master’s Degree in Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising. Kelly has over 20 years of experience in Business Management. Kelly assists Planning Services in our Customer Service Department regarding plan administration as well as resolving claims issues.
Melinda Guravich
Melinda Guravich received an MBA in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona and undergraduate degrees in international business and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin.
Her broad career experience in multiple disciplines includes international marketing and communications roles at Mary Kay Inc. and international software sales at Trinity Consultants.
Melinda is president of the Dallas chapter of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the chapter's 2010 Communicator of the Year and the recipient of Dallas Quill Awards for employee communications planning.
Melinda is a licensed broker for Planning Services.
